About Me
Hi, I'm Ana Araujo.
Born in Guatemala and now rooted in Ontario, Canada, my journey as an artist has been shaped by two worlds — the vibrant natural landscapes of Central America and the quiet beauty of Canadian wildlife.
I have studied a variety of art forms from Fine Arts, Animation and Design. I attended Sheridan College, Seneca College and Humber College where I deepened my love for colour, light, and storytelling through paint, design and animation. My primary medium is watercolour, though I love to experiment with gouache and acrylics — embracing a mixed media approach that keeps my practice fresh and expressive.
At the heart of my work is a deep adoration for animals and the natural world. I paint creatures in their element, capturing not just their likeness but their spirit — the curiosity in a fox's gaze, the stillness of a heron at dusk, the quiet dignity of wildlife going about their lives. Each piece is a small story told through colour and brushstroke.
Petal & Pigment is where nature meets art. I hope my work brings a little of the wild world into your home.
